As a gift to his father to celebrate their family’s 90-year tradition of handmaking tools for glass artists, Roberto Donà commissioned a short film showing the process that goes into making a tool out of solid steel. These strange shaped tools are called jacks and are one of the staples for any hot glass worker.
Check out the Carlo Donà website to see the variety of tools they produce and if you find yourself on Murano island, visit the shop.
